Exhibit A: Pittsburghers are Nuts
An annual event cooked up by some masochists occurs every Saturday after Thanksgiving here in Pittsburgh, the Dirty Dozen bike race/ hill climb. It challenges cyclists to climb 13 of the steepest hills in the city, all in one day. Having driven up and down many of these hills myself, I can attest that it's terrifying traversing them in a car, much less on a bicycle at the end of November!
Here's a piece by the Washington Post covering our little corner of craziness!
